Our Story
From Basecamp to Breakthrough
The seeds of RAYMYLO were planted in 2015 during an environmental research expedition in Patagonia. Founders Elena Rodriguez, an environmental scientist, and Alex Whitfield, a professional mountaineer, witnessed firsthand how plastic waste was affecting even the most remote locations. Their team of researchers and guides struggled with unreliable hydration equipment that either couldn’t withstand extreme conditions or contributed to the very problem they were studying.
By 2018, after three years of research and collaboration with materials scientists and outdoor professionals, RAYMYLO launched its first prototype at the International Mountain Safety Conference. The design incorporated feedback from over 200 field professionals and introduced our signature dual-lid system. What started as a solution for expedition teams has evolved into a broader mission to revolutionize sustainable hydration for everyone from construction workers to emergency responders.
